This one had a long way coming. I got introduced to Carmen via a former colleague at Zweitag. She liked my pictures and told me I really had to meet her friend and take some pictures with her. Well she was totally right. I’m glad I met up with Carmen while I was in Cologne for RailsCamp this year. She brought lots of energy and fun to the shoot. (Thanks again, Carmen ^_^) We shot in Köln Kalk where I had found some old factory halls while long boarding around with a friend last year. Thought they were worth a shot, and they were. How do you like the results?

Was lange währt… Carmen wurde mir von einer ehemaligen Kollegin bei Zweitag vorgestellt. Sie mochte meine Bilder und sagte mir ich müsse unbedingt mal ihre Freundin treffen und fotografieren. Und sie hatte recht, ich bin echt froh das ich Carmen getroffen habe, währen ich für das RailsCamp in Köln war. Sie brachte so viel Energie und Spaß mit zum Shooting. (Danke nochmal, Carmen ^_^). Wir haben in Köln Kalk Bilder gemacht. Dort hatte ich letztes Jahr beim Langobarden mit einem Freund die alten Fabrikhallen gesehen, und gedacht die müsste man mal nutzen. Und getan! Wie gefallen dir die Ergebnisse?

Spring is off to an early Start

There's this lovely spot in Münster on the Promenade where a few cherry trees grow. The past few years I've always wanted to use that spot for pictures, but never got a shoot together in time before the blossoms were all out. This year I was lucky enough, Spring is kicking in early here, and the bolsoms started flowering. Way before my they normally do—which would have coincided with our move into our new place. The weather played nice with us and gave us a nice warm sunset to work with.

Es gibt da diese wunderschöne Stelle and der Promenade in Münster, dort wachsen ein paar Kirschbäume, da wollte ich die letzten Jahre schon immer wieder Fotos machen. Leider kam mir immer wieder etwas dazwischen. Doch dieses Jahr hatte ich Glück. Der Frühling kommt früh in Gang und bescherte uns jetzt schon die volle Blütenpracht. Was auch ganz gelegen kam—die normale Blütezeit wäre genau mit unserem Umzug kollediert. Jeden falls hat uns das Wetter einen warmen sonnengeküssten Sonnenuntergang beschert, was wir auch gut aus genutzt haben.

The Lost Garden

After last weeks preview, here are more of my favorite images from the portrait session I did with Kim. I'm really happy with the results —and to think she was afraid of underperforming — she's a natural (but see for yourself).
Next to Kim's place was a deserted house with a large garden, a perfectly quiet and interesting location. We were a bit weary of the weather, which looked like it would rain but as soon as we got started the sun decided to look through the clouds and see what we were up to.
