Ever since the last big storm a few months back, I was seeing this fallen tree on the way to work every day. Always wondered if it would hold up as a location for a shoot. So in September I picked up Sofia and we gave it a spin. It was quite a nice little neck of the woods, as we discovered wondering about the tree a bit looking for other perspectives and light.
I almost forgot to mention something :) I tried my hand at making a flower wreath —DIY style— and I was surprised I managed to create something worth while. I watched a few YouTube tutorials and proceeded to our garden with scissors and wire in hand. It's quite a bit of work, and in warm weather you only have about 2-3 hours until the flowers start wilting, but I really like the results.

Seit dem Sturm vor ein paar Monaten habe ich auf dem Weg zur Arbeit immer einen umgefallenen Baum gesehen und mich gewundert ob er als Shooting-Location was taugt. Im September holte ich also die Sofia ab und wir haben das ganze mal ausprobiert. Der Wald war an der Stelle richtig schön, wie wir beim Erkunden von alternativen Perspektiven & Licht feststellten.
Ach ja fast vergessen :) Ich habe mich ja mal an einem Blumenkranz versucht, so ganz allein. Ich war wirklich überrascht das ich da was brauchbares bei basteln konnte. Ich hatte mir vorher ein paar Tutorials auf YouTube angeguckt und bin dann mit Schere und Draht bewaffnet in unseren Garten gestürmt. Es war einiges an Arbeit so ein Kranz voll zu bekommen, und man muss bei dem warmen Wetter beachten das man nur 2-3 Stunden hat bis die Blumen welk werden, dennoch mag ich die Ergebnisse richtig gern.
