From the Archives: Sophie

Hier ist wieder mal eins aus den Archiven. Entstanden an einem sehr kalten März Morgen in 2012. Es war wieder einmal eine dieser Orte, die ich jeden Tag auf dem Weg zum Büro sah. Jedes mal wenn der Zug dran vorbei fuhr fingen die Bilder an in meinem Kopf sich zu formen. Irgendwie mussten sie da raus und umgesetzt werden. Zum Glück hatte ich einige Zeit davor die Sophie mal kennen gelernt und mit ihr ausgemacht das wir mal Bilder machen. Sie war für den Spaß zu haben und so packte ich heißen Tee, zum aufwärmen ein und holte sie am Bahnhof in der Nähe ab. Es war einer dieser kalten aber sehr sonnigen Tagen, die einem optisch das Gefühl geben es sein ein Spätsommertag. Das brachte uns wunderschönes Licht, und es ist immer noch eins meiner Lieblings-Shootings.
Noch mal danke an dich Sophie, dass du der Kälte so getrotzt hast.

English Version

Here's one from the archives. Did this shoot with Sophie on a very cold day in March 2012. It was another one of those locations I passed by every day on my way to work. I would see it from the train and my thought began to visualize the images. I just had to give it a go. Luckily Sophie was in for the fun. So I cooked up some hot tea to warm up in between and picked her up for the shoot at the trains station near by. It was one of those cold days where the sun is out and makes it almost look like a late summer's day. It gave off the most beautiful light and it's still one of my favorite shoots to date.

Spring is off to an early Start

There's this lovely spot in Münster on the Promenade where a few cherry trees grow. The past few years I've always wanted to use that spot for pictures, but never got a shoot together in time before the blossoms were all out. This year I was lucky enough, Spring is kicking in early here, and the bolsoms started flowering. Way before my they normally do—which would have coincided with our move into our new place. The weather played nice with us and gave us a nice warm sunset to work with.

Es gibt da diese wunderschöne Stelle and der Promenade in Münster, dort wachsen ein paar Kirschbäume, da wollte ich die letzten Jahre schon immer wieder Fotos machen. Leider kam mir immer wieder etwas dazwischen. Doch dieses Jahr hatte ich Glück. Der Frühling kommt früh in Gang und bescherte uns jetzt schon die volle Blütenpracht. Was auch ganz gelegen kam—die normale Blütezeit wäre genau mit unserem Umzug kollediert. Jeden falls hat uns das Wetter einen warmen sonnengeküssten Sonnenuntergang beschert, was wir auch gut aus genutzt haben.
